NTEX AB: Global player in the transport and logistics sector

The partnership characterised by sustainability and safety
NTEX AB is a Swedish logistics and transport company specialising in international shipping and transport solutions. The company is known for offering a wide range of services, including road, sea and air freight as well as warehousing and customs clearance.
To date, the transport specialist from the far north has already ordered 400 curtainsider vehicles from Schmitz Cargobull. The first order received by Schmitz Cargobull Sverige AB comprised 50 S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers and 100 S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers in MEGA design. This was followed just a few months later by another order for 250 S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers.
The special thing about it: because the trailers are mainly transported by ferry and therefore only cover around 50,000 kilometres per year, all 400 units are equipped with drum brakes. 100 vehicles are MEGA curtainsider semi-trailers, which were presented at the IAA 2024. Drum brakes offer advantages when the vehicles cover only a few kilometres, as is common in combined transport by ferry or rail. They are resistant to adverse weather conditions as well as dirt, water and corrosion.
Schmitz Cargobull has redeveloped the chassis of the S.CS MEGA curtainsider semi-trailers. They can be used flexibly for all tractor units, including 6x2 tractor units. All NTEX AB units are equipped for piggyback transport by rail and with ferry lashing rings for ferry transport.
The partnership between NTEX AB and Schmitz Cargobull is characterised by sustainability and safety, two core values that both companies share. The first 50 S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers were delivered in early summer 2024. 100 S.CS MEGA curtainsider semi-trailers and a further 50 S.CS curtainsider semi-trailers were delivered between August and December 2024. Delivery of the remaining 200 standard curtainsiders began at the start of 2025.
"Our partnership with Schmitz Cargobull enables us to achieve our sustainability goals while offering our customers reliable and efficient transport solutions. By using modern digital tools, we are continuously optimising our services and the customer experience. This innovative strength and commitment to sustainable solutions make NTEX a dynamic and future-oriented company, says Thomas Ström, CEO of NTEX AB.
"We are pleased to support NTEX with our innovative and sustainable trailer solutions. The cooperation shows how important it is to focus on quality and environmental friendliness in order to shape the future of the transport market together," adds Jimmy Valfridsson, Area Sales Manager of Schmitz Cargobull Sverige AB.
NTEX AB has worked mainly with rental companies since 2003. Thanks to good discussions and intensive dialogue with the customer's requirements, Schmitz Cargobull has now been able to supply these robust and innovative trailers with leasing contracts. Both companies are looking forward to continuing their strong and reliable co-operation.
Since its foundation in Sweden in fall 2003, NTEX AB has developed into a leading international transport and logistics company. With a wide range of services, including road, sea and air freight as well as warehousing and distribution solutions, NTEX AB offers customised and efficient transport solutions for import and export. The company is headquartered in Gothenburg and has offices in several international locations. Thanks to a strong network of partners and subsidiaries, NTEX AB is a logistics company that combines global reach, flexibility, modern technology and customer focus to provide reliable, efficient and cost-effective transport solutions worldwide.
