EcoFLEX with POWER CURTAIN

The optimal combination: curtainsider semi-trailers of the EcoGeneration with the POWER CURTAIN body increase payload and improve safety during loading and unloading. The POWER CURTAIN does not require any slats, is easy and safe to handle and saves time in everyday transport.

POWER CURTAIN PLUS body

The POWER CURTAIN PLUS body is available for transporting tyres and other non-rigid goods that put a lot of strain on the side curtain during transport. Supporting bars create pre-tension in the curtain with an easy-to-use lever mechanism and ensure the strength of the side wall.

Improved interior lighting improved safety at work

With new LED light strips in our curtainsider semi-trailers, the interior is now even better illuminated and ensures improved safety when loading and unloading at any time of day.  

Optimum load securing

There are up to 100 load securing positions in our curtainsider semi-trailer. The securing positions are arranged in the floor in eight rows of hot-dip galvanised pocket magazines and stanchion pockets, each on the outer frame and centrally. In addition, load securing straps can be hooked into the perforated securing elements to lash down the cargo quickly and easily. This combination of different load securing elements is available for the S.CS UNIVERSAL, as well as for the S.PR BAU and S.PL construction vehicles.

Equipment for TAPA certification

The S.KO COOL refrigerated box meets the highest requirement level according to Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA security standards). A networked acoustic alarm system is integrated in the TrailerConnect® portal, which triggers an alarm in the event of unauthorised access to the trailer by third parties. In addition, the new TL4 electronic door locking system ensures that the goods are protected from access by unauthorised third parties. This is only possible exclusively with the networked TrailerConnect® telematics solution from Schmitz Cargobull. In the TrailerConnect® portal, loading and unloading points can be defined at which the door locking system automatically unlocks or locks. 

Door locking system TL4 with alarm function

With the new TL4 door locking system for semitrailers, you can professionally protect your goods against theft. The rear doors are equipped with an electromechanical drive and can be locked and unlocked manually or by remote control in the TrailerConnect® portal.  In addition, the locking and unlocking of the rear doors can be set automatically by entering geofences.

When approaching the ramp, dynamic ramp protection protects the vehicle and the body from damage. When driving onto the vehicle with a forklift, stainless steel roller bumpers compensate for height changes and ensure smooth loading. For safe and easy manoeuvring, two LED reversing lights on each side of the vehicle illuminate the surroundings.

Flashing side marker lights as standard

Safety comes first - both for the driver and for all road users. Flashing side marker lights increase safety in road traffic and serve to detect turning manoeuvres at an early stage. Side marker lights are factory fitted as standard in every Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailer box and curtainsider.

New LED strip lights in dry freight vehicles mean -, the interior is now even better illuminated and ensures greater safety during loading and unloading at all times. The switch for the interior lighting is easily accessible at the new bulkhead electrics.

Everything in view when manoeuvring

Rear view cameras and LED work lights at the rear protect pedestrians from possible accidents or damage to the vehicle. The driver has everything in view behind his vehicle and can manoeuvre safely in reverse.

Safe and comfortable access

A step provides comfortable access to the box body when loading and unloading the trailer. Rungs with a non-slip surface provide a secure grip. The step is mounted on the side of the truck and is secured with a simple locking mechanism.

Safety lights at the rear 

Braking or turning manoeuvres are even easier to recognise for following vehicles thanks to new safety lights at the rear, for improved safety in traffic.

Acoustic sound for safety

The Ried White Sounds reversing warning system prevents accidents by alerting anyone in the path of a vehicle when it is reversing. This system uses a wide range of White Sound frequencies that provide greater directional information to the ear, allowing listeners to immediately locate where and from which direction the sound is coming.

Protection against snow and ice slabs

Snow and ice plate protection profiles on the roof with a V-shaped rain bar protect following vehicles from falling ice and snow plates and goods geing carried from damage during loading and unloading.

Flexible load securing

The insulated floor with airline system enables quick, easy and flexible vertical load securing as the load can be secured from two sides at any point in the box body. Ideal for transporting trolleys.

Vertical load-securing beams, which are inserted into the airline load-securing system, serve to protect the load for example roll containers.

Better payload and volume ratio

The new tipper trailer with new chassis and new rounded steel body is a balanced construction between weight optimisation, robustness and durability.
The optimised frame design, means stability has been increased during the tipping process despite the weight reduction. 

Improved road safety

Tipper trailers for bulk material and asphalt transport are equipped with a new pneumatic underride guard for sensing the driving and unloading position.  The new underride guard improves flexibility, increases work safety and reduces damage during tipping. The driver can see the position of the underride guard in the rearview mirror through a rear LED indicator. The underride guard can be operated from the cab for increased safety.

Greater safety during tipping

The S.KI LIGHT tipper trailer with cranked chassis is now available in 8.2m length and achieves a lower overall height for easy loading and unloading. The low overall height also protects against damage when loading from the side.

Compared to the standard chassis frame, cranked chassis frames have a lower overall centre of gravity to improve driving stability, especially when cornering.

Small and safe

The optional lifting spring mechanism on the steel drop sides of the centre-axle tippers increases flexibility and makes it easier to operate the drop side.

Lashing eyes integrated in the floor enable the load securing of general cargo.

Secure data management and sharing

The TrailerConnect® Data Management Center (DMC) from Schmitz Cargobull enables transport companies to easily and securely consolidate, manage and share vehicle and telematics data from their own and third-party systems on a central platform. As a user of the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect® Portal, the TrailerConnect® Data Management Center and the TrailerConnecter® TourTrack, the haulage company retains full sovereignty, control and thus security over its own telematics data and that of its own partners and subcontractors

Alarm in real time

Thanks to the new sophisticated alarm system, the owner is informed in real time via TrailerConnect® Portal or the BeUpToDate App about relevant and predefined security breaches and risks. Optimal service for immediate intervention in an emergency.

Automated control of the door lock

The electronic door locking system ensures that the goods are optimally protected against access by third parties. The user can define loading and unloading points in the TrailerConnect® portal at which the door locking system automatically unlocks or locks on entry and exit. With this smart security function, the user controls the door locking system easily and conveniently from anywhere. This means better control options for the dispatcher and relief for the driver. Once configured in the TrailerConnect® portal, safety risks are minimised and manual efforts are reduced.
